Last Supper
A unique dining experience in celebration of the central motif of the exhibition will also take place, uniting all five of the creatives’ reimagined versions of the Last Supper. In addition to Harrison and Takahashi’s respective ceramic and design pieces, Hong Kong-based composer Olivier Cong has crafted an immersive sound piece utilising Harrison's evocative beakers as the foundations for his composition and sound performance, which will be played during a dedicated meal, as well as during the exhibition itself.
For our gustatory investigations, Plantation Tea’s Nana Chan has chosen to return the beaker to its ancestral roots, presenting a contemplative tea ceremony that pays homage to the vessel's primal purpose. Finally, uniting these diverse visions in a direct allusion to the Last Supper itself, Chef Margaret Xu, the highly acclaimed international chef and founder of Yin Yang, has prepared a specially curated meal. Chef Margaret has reinvented this theme of congregation through her innovative approach to contemporary Chinese cuisine, which serves as the culminating experience in this multi-sensory exploration of one of the most iconic episodes in human history. Pioneering the farm-to-table concept in Hong Kong, Chef Margaret emphasises the importance of local ingredients and sustainable practices, creating dishes that not only delight the palate but also foster a sense of community.
